David O’Sullivan is the Chief Operations Officer at AVS, overseeing strategic operations, business development, and organisational growth. With a strong foundation in Electrical Engineering, Quality Assurance Management, and as a certified QQI trainer, David ensures AVS maintains the highest industry standards.
Holding an IECEx CoPC Licence across 10 disciplines of the IECEx scheme, he brings extensive expertise in hazardous area electrical inspections. His background spans critical industries, including oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and food and beverage, where he has led complex inspection and compliance initiatives.
As COO, David plays a key role in driving operational excellence, enhancing technical capabilities, and expanding AVS’s global footprint. He also leads the AVS training division, delivering specialised courses to external clients to ensure industry professionals meet the latest safety and compliance standards. A graduate of Cork Institute of Technology, David remains committed to advancing industry knowledge and best practices.
